Renovations [24 Jun 2008|07:50am]

I'm attending Palomar after a few years hiatus and I have noticed that the campus looks really run down since I last was on it. But I also notice that there is a lot of renovation taking place. Has anything major happened in the last few years that I missed? Did the campus get taken over by gangs or drug dealers.
Someone else told me that they took classes about a year ago and the campus felt very unsafe. Has crime on campus gone up as well?

A few years ago, I thought Palomar was considered to be a superior community college, but now it seems like MiraCosta has taken that banner.

Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts?

I'm trying to unite community college students across the country in one community so we can share advice, give support, and talk about community colleges in general. Please join commcolleges if you'd like!

(My apologies if this is not permitted. Since it's so related to the community's topic, I figured it would be fine.)

Palomar's Associated Student Government is holding an election for the offices of president and vice president today and tomorrow (May 18 & 19). Also on the ballot is a proposed amendment to the ASG's constitution that would permit the appointment of senators. Currently, senators are to be elected by the student body.

I'm signed up for his night class at Poway High this summer....

Also, does anyone know if there is a sound engineering type classes at Palomar??

Obviously, I'm interested in the music industry...especially the mixing/recording technology.
Any suggestions as far as classes to take??

How are the vocal classes? Teachers to avoid or pursue?? :)

New here! [05 Mar 2005|02:19pm]

Hi all - my name is Amanda. I just found this community and think it's pretty cool! I wonder if any of you are in any of my classes. What a coincidence that would be. I'm a Women's Studies major, set to graduate this semester (but I'll be back in fall because I still need two more classes before I can transfer to CSUSM.)

Anyone else graduating this semester?
